THE STORY BOOK
DO YOU KNOW? MANY OF THE GREATEST MOVIES AND PERFORMANCES ARE BASED ON STORIES FROM BOOKS.
In THE STORY BOOK, stories do not just live in books but come alive through storytelling events and activities. The stories are made alive TO YOU as the audience and listeners as well as THROUGH YOU as the participants. In THE STORY BOOK, you get to experience stories with all your senses by listening, watching, performing and participating in interactive activities.
Our story began in February 2018 and since July 2019, our interactive storytelling events for families with young children are conducted in various locations and shopping malls, as well as in our own venue. Our events have attracted attendees from as far as Seremban, Kuantan, Melaka and Ipoh. We have also been invited by international schools and preschools, bookshops and state libraries to conduct our storytelling activities at their venues. Our objective is to make stories come alive to children through storytelling.
In September 2020, we started THE STORY BOOK Academy, which trains young children in narrating stories and roleplaying characters in stories, as well as adults to become licensed and trained storytellers for THE STORY BOOK.

The Story Chief
THE STORY BOOK was founded in 2018 by Jeanisha Wan, who has spent a big part of her career in banking, IT, marketing and public relations. She was also a former columnist with The Star newspaper and several business magazines.
Encouraged by her father to tell stories out loud since she was 6, her true love lies with storytelling in all its forms. She hopes THE STORY BOOK can play a part in transforming an entire generation to love stories and storybooks again.
